Southern Egg Hunt and Games

Southern families - please join us as we bring the Annual Family Egg Hunt to the beach for the second year!

BYOB - Bring Your Own Basket!

Children of all ages will hunt for eggs filled with candy and treats.
The egg hunt will begin at 2pm. Prizes, games and activities will entertain children before and after the hunt.
Please bring an appetizer or dessert of your choice.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend so that we can be sure to have enough eggs, prizes and food for all! Be sure to bring a basket or bag for each child to collect their eggs.

Take Your Team to the Tavern

Kick off the 2014 Buddy Walk with an adult night out with your team at Catherine Rooney’s on Delaware Avenue in Wilmington.

A night full of guest bartenders, specialty drinks, complimentary snacks, raffle baskets and 50/50 drawing.

2014 Buddy Walk

The Buddy Walk is a one-mile walk to promote the understanding, inclusion and acceptance of people with Down syndrome. More than 1.5 million people worldwide have participated in a Buddy Walk.

On Sunday, May 11th, the DSA of Delaware will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Buddy Walk at the University of Delaware. More than 2,000 people are expected to participate by walking, volunteering or collecting donations in the name of their Buddy or Team. Following the walk are free activities and entertainment for toddlers to teenagers.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and plan to spend the day with your Buddy or team.

Days of Summer Camp 2014

We are excited to be welcoming everyone back for another exciting time at the Days of Summer Camp! Last year it was a big success and we are looking forward to even more exciting activities, during the longer week and extended day.

Camp is open to children ages 3-13 years old with Down syndrome, and their siblings of the same age range. And again, camp is at no cost to families. We are also looking for young adult counselors ages 16-21 years old. Counselors will receive at least 32 volunteer hours. For more information please see the attached flyer.

NEW: Applications can now be filled out on the computer (type in fields), then printed and mailed. Mailing instructions are provided on the applications. Please don't forget to include a picture.
